Simpson Bay, St.Maarten Netherlands Antilles

Recently appointed Caribbean representative for Mystic Power Boats in Florida, yacht broker No Limits Yachts in St.Maarten-St.Martin, presented a new power yacht yesterday during the last day of the St.Maarten Heineken Regatta.
Several members of the local and International press as well as some guests enjoyed the last regatta race on board the new build 70 ft fast power yacht "Carpe Diem".
The owner of the yacht, Mr.Stew Leonard, was on board as well as the builder John Cosker.

Mystic Powerboats Inc. was founded in 1996 by John, a race boat pilot, and has specialized in the design, engineering and construction of high performance power boats.
Working with both production boat builders as well as individual owners, the company has created a wide variety of boats from 60+ mph outboard centre consoles to 200+ mph turbine powered offshore catamarans.

From 1999 trough 2004, Mystic was responsible for all of the design engineering and project supervision for Callan Marine owned by David Callan. During this time the companies created a 120 mph 55ft turbine powered V hull and refitted a Tencara race boat with gas turbines making it the first offshore catamaran to exceed the 200 mph mark.
Other projects included a 90+ mph 62 ft V hull and a 50 ft offshore catamaran that has topped 210 mph to date.

Starting in 2005 Mystic started a line of custom build powerboats. The first model was the Callan 50 catamaran that now carries the Mystic name.
That model was followed closely by new 60 and 70 ft diesel powered express cruisers.

All of these boats are epoxy construction using foam cores and vacuum bag consolidation.
This advanced construction creates a light weight but strong structure capable of extreme speeds.
All the models are designed in house with a full time staff of engineers.
The company also continuous to do a wide variety of design work for others.

With over ten years of evolution and continual refinement, Mystic Powerboats Inc. has developed the capabilities to handle the most demanding projects.
The company takes great pride in their products and continuous to work extremely hard to build their heritage one boat at the time.

The presented yacht is capable of speeds in the 80 mph range while maintaining all comfort and safety.
